The Role
We are seeking an experienced PSP Manager to manage and expand Sonata’s network of payment service providers globally. This fully remote position requires candidates based in Europe who possess deep knowledge of the payments industry and thrive in relationship-driven roles. Occasional travel to meet partners or attend industry events is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with global payment partners including PSPs, acquirers, EMIs, and crypto providers.
- Contract and Commercial Management: Oversee contractual terms, negotiate agreements, and ensure optimal commercial arrangements with partners.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly evaluate partner performance, product updates, and market developments to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Relationship Development: Maintain regular communication with partners, ensuring alignment with Sonata’s strategic objectives and product offerings.
- Market Expansion: Proactively identify and onboard new payment partners to expand geographic and product coverage, responding swiftly to business needs.
- Strategic Advisory: Provide actionable insights on partner selection and product strategy, supporting Sonata’s growth and payment routing decisions.
- Internal Coordination: Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align payment solutions with business objectives.
What You Bring
- Payments Industry Expertise: Extensive understanding of online payment ecosystems, including PSPs, acquirers, EMIs, and alternative payment methods.
- Proven Experience: Mid-level professional with demonstrable experience managing payment partnerships, ideally within fintech or related sectors.
- Commercial Acumen: Experienced negotiator with the ability to manage commercial and contractual relationships effectively.
- Excellent Communication: Fluent in English with exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills. Additional European languages beneficial.
- Proactive and Organised: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple partnerships efficiently.
